Hamish Blake and Andy Lee Lifetime Ban from Olympics

Comedians Hamish Blake and Andy Lee were banned for life from the Olympic Village following a security breach during the London 2012 Olympics. Their entry was initially denied due to a clerical error on their application that incorrectly listed Lee's birth date. To circumvent this, they were aided by a team member who provided a disguise, allowing Lee to sneak in on someone else's pass. After delivering their speech and mingling with athletes, they were caught by security about 90 minutes later, resulting in an interrogation. The head of Olympic security, being Australian, was sympathetic but enforced the lifetime ban, which also led to repercussions for the Australian Olympic team. Andy expressed regret over the incident, noting that their actions caused others to lose visitor passes.
