Amy Wareham, a 47-year-old city lawyer from London, was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme, an aggressive brain tumor, after suffering a seizure while in New York in May 2023. Initially attributing her headaches to work stress, she underwent emergency neurosurgery on June 12, followed by radiotherapy and now nearing the end of her chemotherapy, which she has been tolerating well. Since her diagnosis, Amy married Bruce in August 2023, asking for donations to The Brain Tumour Charity in lieu of wedding gifts. Inspired by her experience, she founded The Amy Wareham Fund, raising £90,000 for brain tumor research. She expressed gratitude for the support from family, friends, and colleagues, who participated in various fundraising efforts, including a charity dinner and marathons. Amy's last MRI showed stable results, and she continues to take it day by day.
