Stranger Things Spinoff Will Be Anthology Series

Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler in Stranger Things, is the only person to have correctly guessed the premise of the upcoming spinoff, which will take the form of an anthology series set in the same universe but featuring new locations and tones, connected by the mythology of the Upside Down. The Duffer brothers have confirmed that the spinoff will be '1000 percent different' from the original, with no focus on returning characters or Hawkins. Wolfhard compared the concept to Twin Peaks, suggesting secret labs like those in Hawkins and Russia could exist worldwide. Though Netflix is interested, the spinoff has not been officially announced. Meanwhile, the original Stranger Things series will conclude with its fifth and final season, which is set to be released in three parts. The creators aim to explore new stories and settings, moving away from established characters and narratives.
