Michael Farchi, a 62-year-old California resident, has sued The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas after a scorpion sting to his testicles during a stay in December 2023 left him with PTSD, emotional trauma, and erectile dysfunction. The incident, which Farchi described as feeling like 'sharp glass or a knife,' has significantly impacted his sex life and led to a loss of consortium claim from his wife, Batia. Farchi alleges that hotel staff mocked him at the time and that the resort was aware of a scorpion infestation due to ongoing construction. The lawsuit, filed on August 27, seeks a jury trial for damages related to medical expenses, pain and suffering, mental distress, and loss of enjoyment of life. Farchi's attorney emphasized that the hotel's duty of care was breached by failing to provide a safe and vermin-free environment.
