Parksville Waterfront Walkway Replacement Begins

The Fochville sewerage network upgrade has resumed after a lengthy hiatus following a tragic fatal accident in 2019. The new contractor is now addressing sewer spillages caused by the inadequate existing infrastructure. Meanwhile, Parksville's waterfront walkway is undergoing an upgrade, starting September 9, with the first phase expected to last five to six weeks. The walkway, heavily used by the community, will see its timber decking replaced, with subsequent phases planned over the next few years. In Thiruvananthapuram, water supply disruptions affecting 44 corporation wards are set to be resolved by Sunday, following pipe replacement works. Park City's Main Street is also modernizing its water infrastructure, with a $3.6 million contract approved for the next phases of water line replacement, now set to begin in late September.
