Teledyne Raises 2025 Guidance After Q3 Beat
Teledyne Technologies reported third-quarter revenue of $1.54 billion, up 6.7% year‑over‑year, and adjusted EPS of $5.57, topping analyst estimates, while GAAP net income fell to $220.7 million ($4.65/share) from $262 million a year earlier. Aerospace and defense electronics sales jumped about 37–38% to $275.5 million, driven by demand for military drones, sensors and incremental defense sales from recent acquisitions. The company raised full‑year 2025 guidance to adjusted EPS of $21.45–$21.60 and GAAP EPS of $17.83–$18.05. Teledyne generated record quarterly cash from operations ($343.1 million) and free cash flow ($313.9 million) and reported a consolidated leverage ratio of roughly 1.4x, and it announced a pending carve‑out acquisition of TransponderTech. Management cautioned that the ongoing U.S. government shutdown could temporarily weigh on new contract awards and near‑term shipments. Broader market action remained mixed, with modest rallies in names such as TherapeuticsMD, Teleflex, Teradyne and Mettler‑Toledo and a decline in TELUS.
