Sandi Toksvig has opened up about her departure from The Great British Bake Off, describing it as 'the longest three years of my life'. Despite walking away from what she referred to as the 'biggest paycheque of my life', she stated that the show was not for her, revealing she had never watched it and did not enjoy the process. Toksvig's wife, Debbie, encouraged her to leave when it became clear that the role was not making her happy. She maintains a close relationship with judge Prue Leith but admitted to being out of touch with co-host Paul Hollywood and former co-host Noel Fielding, bluntly stating, 'No' when asked if she is still friends with Noel. The latest season of Bake Off has since started with new hosts, while Sandi has continued her work in political activism and writing. Additionally, she recently officiated the wedding of ABBA's Björn Ulvaeus.
