Murfreesboro Woman Dies Following Two-Vehicle Collision with Teen Driver
Belinda Talley, a 63-year-old woman, died on July 21 from injuries sustained in a car crash on South Rutherford Boulevard in Murfreesboro. The collision occurred when Talley, driving a Nissan Altima, attempted a left turn and failed to yield the right of way, striking a Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 17-year-old male. The impact caused the pickup truck to veer into oncoming traffic, where it hit a tree and an unoccupied parked car. Talley was trapped in her vehicle and had to be extricated by the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department before being airlifted to the hospital. The teenage driver was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) is continuing its investigation into the crash.
