Apple's ecosystem offers various features that remain inaccessible in India, including Apple Pay, emergency SOS via satellite, and the Apple Card, which have been available in the US for years. Notably, AirPods Pro's functionality as medically certified hearing aids is also unavailable, prompting some tech enthusiasts to find workarounds to unlock this feature. A group in India managed to spoof their location using a Faraday cage and microwave jammer, allowing them to activate the hearing aid capability of the AirPods Pro 2, which is considerably cheaper than traditional hearing aids. Despite the efforts of users like Rithwik Jayasimha, Apple has not yet rolled out these features in India, raising concerns about accessibility and market support. The high cost and delayed introduction of new devices like the Vision Pro further highlight the disparity in feature availability between markets. As Apple expands its offerings, there are growing calls for equal access to these features in India.
