Maven Clinic Secures $125M, Eyes Expansion

Maven Clinic, a women's and family health-focused startup founded by Kate Ryder in 2014, has secured $125 million in Series F funding, achieving a valuation of $1.7 billion. The company offers virtual healthcare solutions across various stages of women's reproductive life cycle and serves more than 2,000 clients, including major companies like Amazon and Microsoft. Despite the digital health sector being perceived as saturated, Maven's focus on women's health, a traditionally underserved area, continues to attract significant investment interest. It plans to use the new funds to expand its fertility benefits platform and explore areas like pediatric mental health and nutrition. Ryder highlighted ongoing challenges in women's healthcare, exacerbated by factors such as the overturning of Roe v Wade and the prevalence of maternity care deserts. While Maven anticipates going public in the future, it currently aims to strengthen its product offerings and market presence.
