Serco Wins $247 Million US Army Contract

Serco has secured a $247 million contract with the U.S. Army to enhance soldier readiness and fitness as part of the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System. The contract, which starts immediately and has an initial eight-month period with the option for four additional one-year extensions, will support 45 U.S. Army brigades at 15 locations across the country. The initiative aims to reduce injury rates and streamline rehabilitation for injured soldiers. This contract is part of Serco's broader strategy in the defense sector, which has become its largest operational area globally, following several other recent contract wins with U.S. defense agencies. Serco's Chief Executive, Mark Irwin, emphasized the company's long history of supporting armed forces and a strong pipeline of future opportunities. The announcement comes amidst Irwin's planned retirement in February 2025, after over a decade with the firm.
