Giants Exhibit Opens at High Museum in Atlanta

The High Museum of Art in Atlanta has opened 'Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys', the first major exhibition of the couple's art collection, which runs until January 19, 2025. The exhibition, curated by the Brooklyn Museum, features 115 artworks by notable Black artists, including Nick Cave and Amy Sherald, representing 10% of the Deans' entire collection. Swizz Beatz emphasized the exhibition's communal significance, stating it belongs to everyone, while Alicia Keys highlighted the importance of preserving Black art beyond mere transactions. The collection aims to explore issues of societal relevance and the impact of Black artists on the global art scene. With the High Museum being the exclusive southeastern venue for this exhibition, it marks a historic moment for both the artists and the Atlanta community. The exhibition opened on September 13, coinciding with Swizz Beatz's birthday.
