Four-Star Recruits Commit to Washington, West Virginia
Washington men's basketball coach Danny Sprinkle secured a commitment from four-star point guard JJ Mandaquit, ranked No. 49 nationally and No. 6 among point guards, as he chose the Huskies over several offers, including from USC and Louisville. Mandaquit is set to play his senior season at Utah Prep and is the second recruit for Washington's 2025 class, joining Courtland Muldrew. Meanwhile, West Virginia added four-star power forward Trent MacLean, who is ranked No. 142 overall and No. 28 among power forwards in the nation, choosing the Mountaineers over Saint Mary's. MacLean, a 6-foot-9 player from SoCal Academy, is the third recruit for West Virginia's 2025 class, alongside fellow four-star Kelvin Odih. Both recruits are seen as significant additions to their respective programs, with Mandaquit expressing confidence in Coach Sprinkle's vision for his development, and MacLean excited about the welcoming coaching staff at West Virginia.
