Former Arsenal Defender Steve Bould Joins QPR Coaching Staff

Steve Bould, former Arsenal centre-back and assistant manager, has been appointed as a defensive coach at Queens Park Rangers (QPR), marking his return to English football after nearly four years managing Belgian side Lommel SK. His role at QPR is unique in focusing on the development of young defenders, aiming to address the scarcity of elite defensive talent across European football. Although not part of head coach Julien Stéphan’s immediate backroom staff, Bould will work closely with the first team and the academy as part of a long-term strategy. Bould’s coaching pedigree includes a 30-year association with Arsenal, where he contributed to youth success and served as assistant manager under Arsène Wenger.
