Dancing With the Stars' Wicked Night Debuts Film Clip
Dancing with the Stars' Season 34 staged a “Wicked Night” on Oct. 21, with the 10 remaining couples performing Argentine tango, contemporary, foxtrot, jazz, rumba and quickstep routines to songs from Wicked and the upcoming Wicked: For Good. Director Jon M. Chu guest-judged the episode, which debuted a never-before-seen clip from Wicked: For Good and featured video messages from Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey and Michelle Yeoh. The clip promoted the film’s Nov. 21 theatrical release and arrived alongside new character posters (including Colman Domingo as the Cowardly Lion) and supporting-cast mentions such as Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Marissa Bode and Ethan Slater. Notable routines included Scott Hoying’s contemporary to “The Wizard and I,” Alix Earle’s jazz to “What Is This Feeling?,” Robert Irwin’s “Dancing Through Life,” Dylan Efron and Jordan Chiles’ rumbas, Whitney Leavitt’s quickstep to “Popular,” and Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov’s Argentine tango to “No Good Deed,” a pairing Screen Rant flagged as at risk given earlier low judges’ scores. There was no elimination on Dedication Night, so viewer votes and judges’ scores from both Dedication and Wicked nights will be combined to determine who might go home.
