A tragic car crash in Murfreesboro claimed the life of a 14-year-old Blackman High School student and injured three others on Tuesday morning. The accident occurred at approximately 11 a.m. at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Kingdom Drive, involving an Audi A4 sedan driven by a 16-year-old and an Acura MDX SUV driven by a 47-year-old. Preliminary investigations suggest that the SUV driver may have turned left into the path of the Audi, with excessive speed being a possible factor in the collision. The deceased student was a front-seat passenger, while the other two teenage passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals. Rutherford County Schools' officials have offered counseling services to students affected by this tragedy. The Murfreesboro Police Department’s Fatal Accident Crash Team is continuing to investigate the incident.
