Thunder Promote Daniel Dixon Head Coach OKC Blue

Following their 2025 NBA championship, the Oklahoma City Thunder have made key changes to their coaching staff by promoting Daniel Dixon to head coach of their G League affiliate, the OKC Blue. Dixon, who has been with the Thunder organization since 2022 and served as an assistant coach last season, previously worked as a video coordinator for the Charlotte Hornets and has experience as a Summer League head coach. This move aligns with the Thunder’s focus on continuity and development within both their NBA and G League programs. Concurrently, former Blue head coach Kameron Woods has been elevated to an assistant coach position on the Thunder’s NBA staff. The franchise, led by MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and head coach Mark Daigneault, aims to build on their championship success as they enter the 2025–26 season with high championship aspirations.
