Assam Police Seize 275kg of Marijuana

The Border Security Force (BSF) in Tripura and Karimganj Police in Assam have made significant drug busts along the Assam-Tripura border. In Tripura, the BSF seized contraband items including cannabis and clothing worth a total of Rs 81 lakh, while Karimganj Police seized 275 kilograms of cannabis. The BSF and Karimganj Police have detained several individuals in connection with these operations, and have initiated legal proceedings against them. In both cases, these actions are seen as a strong deterrent to drug smugglers, with heightened vigilance and strategic operations expected to continue.
