The Kills are set to release their new EP, 'Happier Girls Sessions', on September 20th via Domino Records, featuring a cover of Billie Eilish's 'Happier Than Ever' alongside acoustic versions of their own tracks from the 2023 album 'God Games'. The EP, recorded at Paul Epworth’s Church Studios in London, includes five tracks: an electric cover of 'Happier Than Ever' and non-electric renditions of 'My Girls My Girls', '103', 'New York', and 'Better Days'. Vocalist Alison Mosshart expressed her admiration for Eilish's song, stating that she often sang it at home and was thrilled to cover it. The band was initially invited to perform an acoustic session by Sirius XM, which led to this recording opportunity. The Kills plan to support the EP with a series of U.S. tour dates in October.
