Dele Alli Departs Everton Amid Challenges

Dele Alli has announced his departure from Everton FC, expressing gratitude towards the club despite a stint marred by injuries and personal challenges. After joining Everton from Tottenham Hotspur in January 2022, Alli made only one Premier League start and spent time in rehab for addiction and mental health issues. Although his contract expired and he trained at Finch Farm, fitness concerns prevented a new contract agreement. His last competitive match was in February 2023 with Turkish club Besiktas. Alli has hinted at new opportunities in 2025 and has been offered training with Serie A side Como. Everton manager Sean Dyche and former manager Frank Lampard both wished him well, acknowledging the difficulties he faced.
