Fire Breaks Out in Bristol Scrap Metal Warehouses

A significant fire broke out in multiple scrap metal warehouses on New Gatton Road in the St Werbugh's area of Bristol at approximately 2:20 PM on Saturday, December 14th. Avon Fire and Rescue Service dispatched five crews to combat the blaze, which involved seven tonnes of scrap metal, using breathing apparatus and firefighting jets. Residents and nearby drivers have been advised to close their windows due to smoke. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties or road closures. The situation is ongoing as firefighters work to extinguish the flames and assess the cause of the fire.
