In a series of discoveries, three sets of human remains have been found in Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Washington, in just over a month. The latest remains are believed to belong to John Hopkins, a 69-year-old hiker from Seattle who went missing in November 2022, with his belongings previously located nearby. Volunteer search teams from the Skamania County Sheriff's Office played a crucial role in these searches. Earlier remains discovered include a skull thought to belong to Kristopher Zitzewitz, a hiker missing since 2013, and another unidentified set found on September 4. Officials have stated that they do not suspect foul play in these cases. DNA analysis is pending to confirm the identities of the remains.
