Israel's Mossad Kills Hezbollah Co-Founder Shukr

Israel's intelligence agency, Mossad, successfully infiltrated Hezbollah's leadership, uncovering personal secrets of top commander and Hezbollah co-founder Fuad Shukr, including his involvement with four mistresses. Shukr, linked to the 1983 Beirut bombings that killed 241 US Marines, felt guilty about his affairs and married all four women through phone ceremonies arranged by Hashem Safieddine, Hezbollah's senior religious cleric. This deep infiltration enabled Israel to carry out targeted assassinations of key Hezbollah figures, critically weakening the group's leadership and strategic capabilities. Shukr was eventually killed by an Israeli missile in July 2024, after being lured out of hiding, following a deadly missile attack he orchestrated in Majdal Shams. This campaign is part of Israel's broader efforts to dismantle Hezbollah, particularly after the October 7, 2023, attacks. The operation not only exposed critical personal details but also showcased the extent of Mossad's espionage capabilities within adversarial organizations.
