Salman Ali Agha Leads Pakistan T20 Squad Without Babar, Rauf for Bangladesh Series
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, scheduled to take place from July 20 to 24 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. Salman Ali Agha will continue as captain in the absence of regular skipper Babar Azam, who, along with key players like Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, and Shaheen Afridi, has been left out due to injuries or selection decisions. The squad features a blend of experienced players such as Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Nawaz, alongside emerging talents including Salman Mirza, Ahmed Daniyal, and Abbas Afridi, with promising newcomers given opportunities to prove themselves. Notably, Mohammad Haris and Sahibzada Farhan have been included as wicketkeepers to provide more options, and the team will be supported by a full coaching and management staff led by former New Zealand coach Mike Hesson. Pakistan is set to arrive in Bangladesh on July 16, with all matches played in Dhaka, following a previous 3-0 series sweep against Bangladesh in May. The PCB also confirmed that the squad for the forthcoming West Indies white-ball series will be announced separately.
