Apple Original Films has announced the completion of production for its upcoming feature film 'F1,' starring Brad Pitt, which took place during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the film also features Damson Idris and a supporting cast that includes Javier Bardem and Kerry Condon. The movie, embodying the thrilling world of Formula 1, follows Pitt as a former driver who makes a comeback alongside Idris as his teammate in the fictional APXGP team. Filming spanned 29 days at iconic locations such as Yas Marina Circuit and involved support from local production teams and the Abu Dhabi Film Commission. 'F1' is set for global theatrical release by Warner Bros. Pictures on June 25, 2025, with a North American debut on June 27, 2025. This project marks a significant collaboration with the entire Formula 1 community, highlighting Abu Dhabi's role as a burgeoning hub for film production.
