Saudi Arabia Launches Global Alliance for Two-State Solution

Saudi Arabia is taking a strong stance on two critical global issues: land degradation and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. At the upcoming UNCCD COP16 in December, Saudi officials, led by Minister of Environment Abdulrahman AlFadley, highlighted the urgent need to combat land degradation and promote sustainable practices, calling for international cooperation to restore 1.5 billion hectares of degraded land by 2030. Simultaneously, Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan announced the formation of a Global Alliance aimed at establishing a Palestinian state and advancing the two-state solution, condemning the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and Israeli actions in the West Bank. He emphasized that the right to self-defense does not justify civilian casualties and called for immediate cessation of violence. Bin Farhan's initiative seeks to unify Arab, Islamic, and European nations in achieving peace in the region. Both initiatives reflect Saudi Arabia's commitment to addressing pressing global challenges through collaboration and decisive action.
