Cineplex Opens Rec Room in Vancouver

The Rec Room has officially opened its flagship location on Granville Street in Vancouver, marking a significant addition to the city's entertainment scene. Spanning 45,000 square feet across three floors, the venue offers over 75 amusement games, axe throwing, mini-golf, and various dining options, including The Palms Bar and The Shed. Ellis Jacob, President and CEO of Cineplex, emphasized the importance of Granville Street's legacy and the addition of live entertainment and diverse food offerings. The Rec Room also pays homage to the area's historical significance, incorporating elements from the former Palms Hotel and Coronet Theatre. This new entertainment hub aims to attract both locals and visitors, creating a vibrant atmosphere for social gatherings and fun activities. The opening has generated approximately 250 jobs, further contributing to the local economy.
