Matthew Brennan, a 19-year-old British cyclist from Visma-Lease a Bike, secured his first WorldTour victory at the Volta a Catalunya's stage one, just after his professional win at the GP de Denain. Brennan took advantage of a challenging uphill sprint in wet conditions to overtake Tibor del Grosso of Alpecin-Deceuninck and hold off sprinting star Kaden Groves in the final moments. This victory marks Brennan's fourth consecutive win, underscoring his remarkable form following two wins with Visma's development team.
