Son Charged with Murdering Father in Fort Washington

Christopher Wiley Cooper, a 22-year-old man from Fort Washington, Maryland, has been charged with the murder of his father, 59-year-old Patrick Cooper, following a violent incident at their home on March 14. Police were called to the residence at approximately 5:00 a.m. after reports of an attempted suicide, where they found Patrick dead from blunt force trauma. Christopher was also located at the scene with self-inflicted stab wounds and was transported to a hospital, where his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
