Mark Daigneault to Coach 2025 NBA All-Star Team

Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault has been confirmed as a coach for one of the teams in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, following the Thunder's 127-101 victory over the Brooklyn Nets, which secured the best record in the Western Conference. This marks Daigneault's first time coaching at the All-Star Game since Scott Brooks in 2014, and he will be joined by an assistant from his staff. The revamped All-Star Game will feature a four-team mini-tournament, with three teams composed of All-Star selections and a fourth from the Rising Stars competition. The two remaining coaching positions will be filled by the head coach and an assistant from the Eastern Conference's top team. The All-Star Game is scheduled for February 16 at Chase Center in San Francisco, and it will introduce a new format where the first team to score 40 points wins. Analysts Shaquille O'Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith will draft the teams from a 24-player pool, with the event airing on TNT.
