Marseille, Juventus Near Zhegrova Transfer Amid Ongoing Club Negotiations

Edon Zhegrova, the 26-year-old Lille winger, has reached an agreement on personal terms with Olympique Marseille, choosing the French club over Juventus despite interest from the Italian side. Marseille and Lille are still negotiating the transfer fee, with Lille valuing Zhegrova at around €15-20 million; Marseille is reportedly considering a loan with an obligation to buy. Zhegrova's passport issues have been resolved, allowing him to no longer count as a non-EU player, which facilitates the transfer. Zhegrova has not played in 2025 due to surgery for pubalgia and was training with Lille's reserves, but he desires to join Marseille, where he would join coach Roberto De Zerbi's squad. Meanwhile, Olympique Marseille is also working on signing Arsenal's Oleksandr Zinchenko, but his high salary poses a challenge ahead of the transfer deadline. Zinchenko, whose contract with Arsenal runs until 2026, has made limited appearances recently and could move permanently to Marseille if the clubs reach an agreement.
