China Pavilion Showcases Zhejiang, Shaanxi Weeks at Expo 2025 Osaka

Expo 2025 Osaka's China Pavilion has featured a series of cultural and economic showcases highlighting various Chinese provinces, with recent focus on Shaanxi and Zhejiang. Shaanxi Week, held from July 8 to 10 under the theme "Silk Road in Harmony: A Journey through Green and Beautiful Shaanxi," celebrated the province's rich history, cultural heritage, and modern innovations in green energy and technology. The events emphasized Shaanxi's historic ties with Japan dating back over 1,300 years, including the famed friendship between Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai and Japanese envoy Abe no Nakamaro, as well as the contemporary "Aerial Silk Road" established by direct flights between Xi’an and Osaka. Shaanxi aims to leverage the Expo as a platform to deepen cooperation with Japan and other countries in sectors like agriculture, cultural tourism, and technological innovation, promoting mutually beneficial economic partnerships. Concurrently, Zhejiang Week, starting July 12, showcased traditional Chinese medicine and tea culture, further illustrating China's diverse cultural and economic strengths. Officials, including Li Qingshuang, Commissioner General for the China Pavilion, highlighted the importance of these events in fostering international cultural exchange and economic collaboration.
