Late Mansour Ojjeh's 20 McLaren Cars Sold Single Buyer

The entire bespoke collection of 20 McLaren cars owned by the late Mansour Ojjeh, former TAG CEO and McLaren co-owner, has been sold to a single undisclosed buyer for an estimated value exceeding $70 million. The collection, described as a rolling McLaren museum, featured rare cars maintained in pristine condition by McLaren itself, with only two cars ever driven. The centerpiece is the last McLaren F1 ever produced, painted in a unique "Yquem" color, later renamed "Mansour Orange," which attracted multiple world record offers but was kept within the collection. Tom Hartley Jnr, the broker who facilitated the sale, highlighted that the transaction was a respectful transfer of an automotive legacy, emphasizing the importance of keeping the collection intact. Ojjeh was instrumental in launching McLaren Automotive alongside Formula 1 team boss Ron Dennis, and the sale follows Hartley's recent handling of Bernie Ecclestone's historic F1 car collection. Despite speculation, details about the buyer and the collection's final location remain undisclosed.
