California Parents Arrested on Murder Suspicion in Disappearance of 7-Month-Old

The parents of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro, Jake and Rebecca Haro, were arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in Cabazon, California, more than a week after the infant was reported missing. Rebecca Haro initially claimed that Emmanuel was kidnapped after she was attacked and knocked unconscious while changing his diaper in a parking lot outside a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Yucaipa, but inconsistencies in her story led investigators to question her account and suspect foul play. Despite extensive searches and follow-ups on reported sightings, including one in Kern County, Emmanuel has not been found. Law enforcement seized electronic devices from the Haro residence and served search warrants as part of the ongoing investigation. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department continues to urge the public to provide any information about Emmanuel's whereabouts, offering a reward as well. Authorities have noted that Jake Haro has a prior conviction related to child cruelty, adding further concern to the case.
