Gas Prices Rise Nationally; Arkansas, Peoria, Minnesota, Iowa See Increases

Gas prices across the United States have risen slightly, with the national average increasing by 6.3 cents to $3.08 per gallon, primarily driven by the transition to summer gasoline. In Arkansas, prices increased by 6.2 cents to an average of $2.74 per gallon, although they remain lower than last year. The Peoria area saw a rise of 4.3 cents, bringing the average to $3.27 per gallon, and prices varied from $3.06 to $3.39. Similar trends were reported in Iowa, where prices surged by 14.6 cents to an average of $3.01 per gallon. Industry analysts emphasize that the increase is seasonal and not influenced by political factors or tariffs. Despite the uptick, prices remain significantly lower than a year ago in many regions.
