Multiple schools across the United States are increasing police presence due to social media threats, though many of these threats have been deemed not credible. In Rogers, Arkansas, both Oakdale Middle School and Rogers High School will see increased security. A similar precaution is being taken at Thomas Edison Middle School in Meriden, Connecticut, as police investigate a threat. Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools and Mountain Home, Arkansas, schools are also taking similar measures following threats. In Dayton, Texas, Woodrow Wilson Junior High School is under heightened security after a potential shooting threat. Additionally, schools in Ware and Columbia counties in Florida, as well as multiple schools in Massachusetts, are increasing police patrols despite non-credible threat assessments.
