Final suspect in murder of pregnant woman arrested in Lakewood

Lakewood police have arrested Isaac Amir Pierrie, the final suspect in the ambush murder of 22-year-old Melanie Massay, who was killed in February 2023 while pregnant. Pierrie, 24, was apprehended in Aurora after evading authorities for over two years and faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. Massay was shot during an attack involving multiple assailants, and her unborn child also died as a result. Six other suspects had previously been arrested in connection with the case, including Monte Hayes and ReaAsia Hollins. Law enforcement agencies including the U.S. Marshals and ICE assisted in Pierrie's capture. Massay's mother revealed that her daughter had thought some of the assailants were friends, highlighting the betrayal involved in the tragic incident.
