Disney Releases Holiday Short 'The Boy & The Octopus'

Disney has launched a heartwarming holiday short film titled 'The Boy & The Octopus', directed by Oscar-winner Taika Waititi. The story follows a young boy who befriends a curious octopus during a seaside vacation, forming a bond that leads them to explore the joys of the holiday season together. The short features numerous Easter eggs referencing beloved Disney films like Moana, Lilo & Stitch, and Toy Story. Additionally, a beautiful rendition of 'Part of Your World' from The Little Mermaid, recorded by a 60-piece orchestra at Abbey Road Studios, enriches the film's soundtrack. This festive campaign not only aims to inspire holiday joy but also supports Make-A-Wish® International, making it a meaningful addition to Disney’s holiday tradition.
