Katsina Security Forces Kill 5 Bandits, Arrest 3 Informants

On April 10, 2025, a coordinated operation by the Katsina State Police Command, military, Department of State Services (DSS), and local vigilantes resulted in the neutralization of five suspected bandits and the arrest of three informants in Katsina State. The first operation took place in Dutsen Wori Village, where an ambush led to the killing of the bandits and recovery of seven operational motorcycles and vehicles. A subsequent raid in Unguwar Adam and Unguwar Judo villages also yielded arrests and further recoveries, including motorcycles and bicycles. Police officials underscored the importance of community cooperation in these efforts and praised the professionalism of the security forces involved. The Commissioner of Police, Bello Shehu, reaffirmed the commitment to combating banditry and ensuring public safety in the region. Ongoing efforts are being made to track down suspects who managed to escape during the operations.
