Dacoit: A Love Story Set for March 19 Release

Dacoit: A Love Story, a bilingual romantic action-thriller starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, has been rescheduled for a worldwide festival release on March 19, 2026 after being pushed from its original December 25, 2025 Christmas slot following Sesh’s on-set leg injury. Directed by Shaneil Deo in his debut and co-written by Sesh, the film — shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu with Tamil also reported — follows a wrongly convicted man who escapes prison to exact vengeance and draws the woman who betrayed him into a dangerous criminal web. The cast includes Anurag Kashyap in a pivotal role, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni and Zayn/Zain Marie Khan; Supriya Yarlagadda is producing under Annapurna Studios and the film is in post-production. Promotional posters released by Thakur and Sesh have heightened anticipation, and makers are positioning the March date as a major festival release targeting Ugadi/Eid, where it will clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War.
