Police Launch Manhunt After Woman Raped in Bexhill Park
Police in East Sussex are actively searching for a man suspected of raping a woman in her twenties in Barrack Hall Park, Bexhill, in broad daylight on August 18. The suspect is described as a white man wearing a short-sleeved top and trousers and is not believed to be known to the victim. Authorities have appealed to anyone who was in or near the park between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm to come forward, especially if they have video footage from mobile phones, dashcams, or other devices, as well as any witnesses or CCTV footage that may aid the investigation. Sussex Police have assured the local community that they are conducting a thorough investigation with dedicated patrols to provide reassurance and visibility. The victim is receiving support from specially trained officers throughout the ongoing inquiry. Detective Inspector James Meanwell emphasized the importance of community cooperation and the continued support provided to the victim.
