Tesla App Adds Live Supercharging Status, Safety Features, Robotaxi Support

Tesla has released a significant update to its iPhone app (version 4.45.0), introducing Live Activities support for iOS 17.2 and later, enabling users to monitor their vehicle's Supercharging status in real-time directly on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island of newer iPhone models. This feature displays key charging information such as battery percentage, time remaining, charging output in kilowatts, current range, and estimated cost, enhancing convenience for Tesla owners during charging sessions. Alongside this app update, Tesla deployed vehicle software (2025.14.12) that introduces a life-saving Child Left Alone Detection feature, which uses cabin radar to detect unattended children and issues escalating alerts to both the vehicle occupants and owners. Tesla is also expanding its app capabilities to support upcoming Robotaxi network functions, integrating them into the main Tesla app for streamlined management of vehicles and services. Additionally, Tesla has begun implementing dynamic Supercharger pricing based on current usage, with UI updates reflecting this change. These updates collectively improve user experience, safety, and functionality across Tesla's ecosystem.
