Hezbollah Fires 115 Projectiles into Israel

The Israeli military reported that approximately 50 projectiles were fired from Lebanon into northern Israel early Wednesday, with some intercepted and no casualties reported. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the barrage, which targeted the town of Safed. This incident follows a recent escalation in hostilities, as just days earlier, Hezbollah launched about 115 projectiles into Israel amid ongoing Israeli ground operations against the group in southern Lebanon. Since October 1, these operations have resulted in over 2,000 deaths in Lebanon, including Hezbollah leaders, while displacing more than a million people. The Israeli military aims to create conditions for the return of around 60,000 residents evacuated due to previous Hezbollah attacks. The situation remains tense as both sides continue military engagements.
