Springer's Homer Sends Blue Jays to World Series

George Springer’s three-run homer in the seventh inning of Game 7 lifted the Toronto Blue Jays to a 4-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners, clinching the AL pennant. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was named ALCS MVP after a .385 series and said he prayed in the tunnel before the decisive inning. Springer, who played through a knee injury sustained earlier in the series, tied a career postseason home run mark that ranks third all-time with the go-ahead blast.
