Boston College Defeats The Citadel 69-60

In their season opener, Boston College defeated The Citadel 69-60, led by sophomore guard Donald Hand Jr., who scored a career-high 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. The Eagles built a strong lead with a 10-0 run before halftime, taking a 37-28 lead into the break. Despite a late push from The Citadel, which included a three-pointer that reduced the deficit to seven points, BC maintained control of the game. The Citadel struggled offensively, shooting only 38.5% from the field and 12.5% from three-point range. Brody Fox led The Citadel with 18 points, but the Bulldogs couldn't overcome their shooting woes. The Citadel will host Erskine in their home opener on Thursday night.
