Singapore’s QCP Secures Full Crypto License in Abu Dhabi

Singapore-based digital asset trading firm QCP Group has received a full license from Abu Dhabi’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) under the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), allowing it to offer spot and derivatives trading, market making, and structured solutions to institutional and professional clients. This marks a significant milestone in QCP’s global expansion, strengthening its presence in the Middle East and complementing its existing Major Payment Institution license from Singapore’s Monetary Authority. Founder Darius Sit highlighted the importance of the Middle East for digital assets and emphasized that the ADGM’s robust regulatory framework provides clients with confidence in security and regulatory oversight. Abu Dhabi has positioned itself as a major global crypto hub by introducing one of the earliest comprehensive virtual asset frameworks in 2018, combining strict compliance standards with favorable tax policies to attract exchanges, custodians, and token issuers. The emirate also demonstrates its commitment to the digital asset ecosystem through major investments like the $2 billion commitment from its MGX fund to Binance. Although the licensing process is demanding with rigorous compliance, governance, and cybersecurity requirements, QCP’s dual licenses enable it to bridge liquidity between Asia and the Middle East, supporting 24-hour regulated trading and enhancing connectivity across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
