Muppets Join Illusionist Rob Lake for Broadway Holiday Run

The Muppets will make their Broadway debut this holiday season alongside illusionist Rob Lake in a limited engagement titled Rob Lake Magic with Special Guests The Muppets at the Broadhurst Theatre, running from October 28, 2025, through January 18, 2026. Lake, known as "The World's Greatest Illusionist" and a former America's Got Talent quarter-finalist, expressed that working with the Muppets—particularly Kermit the Frog and some of his friends—has been a rewarding and familiar experience given his lifelong admiration for the characters. The production will combine Lake's elaborate illusions with the Muppets' unique humor, a collaboration producers Joe Quenqua and Gareth Lake of Glass Half Full Productions described as a dream come true. Creative consultant Bethany Pettigrew and script consultant Kevin Zak are contributing to the show, with additional creative team members to be announced. Lake has an extensive background in illusion design, having worked with Walt Disney Imagineering and contributed to Broadway shows and Adele's Las Vegas residency. This marks Lake's Broadway performing debut, fulfilling his longtime dream of showcasing his magic on the Great White Way.
