Lidl recalls mini-pretzels amid safety concerns in UK

Lidl has issued a recall for its Alpenfest Style Salted Mini Pretzels in both milk and dark chocolate due to potential safety concerns, specifically the risk of causing a burning sensation in the mouth. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has advised customers to return any affected products with a best before date of June 30, 2025, and batch code 8535 to their nearest Lidl store for a full refund. Notices about the recall will be displayed in all of Lidl's over 1,000 UK supermarkets. The FSA emphasized that the products are unsafe for consumption and urged customers not to eat them. This recall follows a separate incident where Coca-Cola also recalled products in the UK due to health concerns. Both Lidl and Coca-Cola are taking precautionary measures to ensure consumer safety.
