Hamilton Returns to Chicago in 2026 After D.C. Change

The acclaimed musical 'Hamilton' is set to return to Chicago's CIBC Theatre for a limited engagement from March 4 to April 26, 2026, following its most recent Chicago run in 2023 at the James M. Nederlander Theatre. This engagement was originally scheduled for the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., but was canceled due to leadership changes and programming shifts led by President Donald Trump. The upcoming run highlights Chicago's ongoing importance to the musical's legacy, after a historic multi-year engagement from 2016 to 2020 that drew over 2.5 million attendees and had a major economic impact. Group tickets for parties of 10 or more are already available, with individual tickets going on sale later this year.
