Charlie Dean Replaces Injured Sophie Molineux at RCB

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has signed England's off-spinner Charlie Dean as a replacement for the injured Sophie Molineux for the upcoming Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025. Molineux is sidelined due to a knee injury sustained after the Australia tour in December 2023 and will miss the season. Dean, a 24-year-old bowling all-rounder, has played 36 T20Is and has taken 46 wickets at an impressive average, bringing valuable experience to the RCB squad. Molineux was pivotal in RCB's title win in 2024, taking 12 wickets in 10 matches, and was part of a successful spin trio. The franchise has invested Rs 30 lakh for Dean's services as they look to defend their championship title. The WPL 2025 will see new venues added, expanding its reach beyond Mumbai and Bengaluru.
